Native Portals, thus far, is a tetralogy or quadrilogy and a multi-episodic movement performance series that includes Lynching & Love (2012), Release Mourning Clearing (2016), Continuum of Action [The Witness Spectrum] (2016), and Continuum of Action [The Witness] (2015, 2017). These works have been renewed and overlaid in many versions through live performance and film.
Native Portals: Continuum of Action (The Witness) & (The Witness Spectrum)weaves together, through embodied artistic reactions and reflections, tumultuous events surrounding the Craddock Four (1985 Cradock South Africa), the Greensboro Massacre (1979 North Carolina), the MOVE Organization (1978 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) and the forming of their subsequent Truth and Reconciliation Commissions and/or Forums. It presents an artistic location where anger is welcome as a processing space that does not wash over the spiritual, physical, and emotional violence present in our country today.
